4th of July Fun
We spent the 4th of July with the Wilsons in Rupert. We took family pictures for the first time in almost 10 years. They turned out pretty good, except that crazy wind that swept in and blew all the lovely ladies' hair in all sorts of ways.
Above is the entire Brent and Karla Wilson Family! and below are their beautiful children and spouses. I can't even keep track of how many there are anymore so count 'em if you care to know.
All 22 grandkids... too bad the unborn three missed the picture.

We had a great time at the Wilson Family Reunion. Thanks again to all those who planned and put so much effort into making such a great time. We can't wait for the reunion next year!!!
4th Annual Simmons Family Lagoon Day
This year someone (huh hum... Kim) had a great idea to make matching shirts for the annual Lagoon day. After much stress, heartache, offensive emails, and hurt feelings, we finally decided that the Wii Miis was the way to go. Mike B. and Jeph definitely win the look-a-like contest with their Miis. I think they turned out rather well.

Matching shirts came in handy when trying to find each other, when getting in line and people realized they had cut in between out big group and would get out of our way, and when we matched all the lagoon workers and knew we were in the right place. Our day at Lagoon proved the shirts to be a good idea afterall. Maybe, JUST MAYBE, we'll brave the sweat and tears to design something new for next year.

WARNING: This post displays pictures of factual events
Last week, Jeph sent me a text with this picture saying he had broken his wrist at work. Luckily he works for a doctor's office so they were going to take care of him in order to avoid workers comp. Poor kid!
Just for the record, I thought it was strange that he did not come home from work early, did not seem to be on any pain killers, and still went out with his little brother that night instead of coming home to rest. But who am I to say that my husband who has a cast on his arm is lying to me about having a broken wrist.
Needless to say, when I actually saw Jeph with the cast on, I began to believe he had really broken his wrist. However, within an hour Jeph was walking around with no cast on. He had me on this one. I guess some girl was learning how to cast people, and Jeph volunteered thinking it would be great to make me think he had broken his wrist.
Well, that was fine. Jeph made me think he had broken his wrist, I was going to get him back for that. So as I was going through some old emails, I stumbled upon the perfect picture to send to Jeph.
I saved this picture to the desktop of our computer and told Jeph I had a surprise for him.
He loved it. I could see his anxiety from across the room. I think in the end, Jeph got was coming to him.
*Special thanks to SLOC staff for providing a cast for Jeph to prank me and to Beth and Andy for sending this picture in an email a long time ago which provided me with a way to prank Jeph.

Renovation - Summer 2009
The Bathroom!
After last summer's kitchen renovation, we were so excited to get started on our next project... a year later. We (Jeph) tore out the old vanity, laid tile, installed a new vanity, tore out the florescent lights to put up new hot lighting, and made our bathroom look fabulous! I textured the walls and painted (I'm so helpful)! We still have plans to frame mirror but, it may take yet another year before that happens.

Way Back in May
A few months ago Jeph and I decided we would treat ourselves to a weekend away. At the last minute we got online and found an awesome deal on a hotel super close to the Strip and half priced DMB/Jason Mraz tickets.
I don't think I've seen Jeph so happy, except when he is enjoying his favorite Dave Matthews Band concerts.
